What Lions Club is all about...
As one of the premier community service organizations, the Lions Club fosters service to the community through camaraderie and individual growth. There are about 1.4 million members, in over 46,000 Lions clubs, in 197 countries and geographic areas, with a focus on the concept of 'We Serve.'
Founded in 1917, members have enjoyed opportunities to give something back to their communities. Lions clubs have embraced the commitment to building a brighter future for their community without personal financial reward, and to promote high ethical standards in commerce, industry, professions, public works and private endeavors.
Corona Host Lions was founded in 1923 and supports some 22 charities that are involved with the conservation of sight and the blind. Among other areas Lions clubs provides assistance is in research for diabetes, disaster relief and drug abuse prevention.
